How to get to Ilulissat 

Depanding on the season you can get to Ilulissat by airplane or by ship.

By Airplane 

From Denmark

Air Greenland (www.airgreenland.com) flys almost every day all year around from Copenaghen to Greenland. The journey takes about 4 hours. The airbus do not land in Ilulissat but in Kangerlussuaq which is the main airport in Greenland for international flights. From Kangerlussuq there are many connecting flights to Ilulissat.The flight to Ilulissat is about 45 minutes.

Tickets can be purchased can be made on-line on www.airgreenland.com selecting Compenaghen as departure and Ilulissat as arrival.

From Iceland

In summer (july and august) Iceland Air flys directly from Iceland to Ilulissat 2 times a week. Please click on the following link to get more information www.airiceland.is

By Ship

Coming to Ilulissat by ship is possible from almost all the cities and town in west Greenland. From may to september Arctic Umiaq Line sails along the west coast. Check on www.aul.gl for routes and more information.
