Activities at the Ataa Summer Camp in Ataa 

 

The Ataa Summer Camp offer a wide range of outdoor activities but it also offers peace and relax for those that are looking for a break from big cities life and routine and they want to enjoy the amazing nature that the Ataa paradise offes.

At the Ataa Summer Camp there are 11 kayaks for rent. The wonderful and calm waters of the Ataa sound and the near lake are the best for kayak trips.

Hiking and trekking

Ataa Summer Camp - Hiking

 

From the camp there are different paths that can be followed. You can reach the top of the mountains and see, from distance, the glacier of Eqi and the inland ice. you can also reach the soap stone cave. The soap stone is a very soft stone that inuit had been using for centuries for making objects in particular kitchen object like plates.

 

Fishing

For those that love fishing Ataa is a paradise. You can try catching Arctic trouts in the river or in the lake near the camp or you can try handling cods in the sea. If you are interested in fishing contact us for more details.
