Holiday package Winter 5 Days

5 days holidays with 5 nights accommodation in Ilulissat. A short winter break in Greenland full of excursions. The package includes 2 boat tours, 2 guided tours and a full day dog sled tour.  

Programme

 

Day 1 Arrival in Ilulissat. A guide will welcome you at the airport and will take you to the accommodation where there will be a short briefing on Ilulissat, Greenland and your escursions.
Day 2 At 10am departure by boat for the first excursion to the village of Ilimanaq . Return to Ilulissat around 3pm. Night in Ilulissat.
Day 3 Guided tour of the city of Ilulissat. The city tour will start from the harbour where the Danish, in the beginning of 1700, had estabilished the settlement of Jakobshavn. You will then visit the church and the museum of the famous arctic explore Knud Rasmussen. In the afternoon the guide will take you the the valley of Sermermiut. A Short hike to visit an area where three culture of Inuits settled more than 4000 years ago.Night in Ilulissat.
Day 4  At 10am departure for the full day dog sled experience. The sled will take you approx 20km from Ilulissat where you can admire from distance the icefjord and the inland ice. Return to Ilulissat around 3pm. Night in Ilulissat. 
Day 5 Morning free. In the afternoon there will be a 2,5 hours boat excursion to the icebergs of the Ilulissat icefjord.Night in Ilulissat.
Day 6 Transfer to the airport for departure

The price includes:

- Full day dog sled tour

- 5 night in Ilulissat with breakfast included (mini apartments accommodation do not have breakfast included);

- Boat tour to the village of Ilimanaq;

- Transfer by bus to and from the Airport and to the excursions;
- Boat tour to the icebergs:

- Sermermiut hike;
- Guided city tour.

The price DO NOT include:
- Flights;
- Transfer, nights and meals in Copenaghen;
- Meals in Ilulissat;
- Everything that is not mentioned in "the price include";

 

Notes:

 

- The excursions can be cancelled or modified depending on the weather conditions, snow conditions on the sled tracks or for safety reasons. The excursion might not be able to reach all the destination listed on the itineraries above.
- Its required to the participants to have warm clothes and right equipment for the excursion. The average winter daily temperature are 15/20 degrees celsius below zero). The participants should also be in good phisical conditions. The excursion has a high level of difficulty.
- Its required to the participants to bring only one piece of luggage with a max weight of 15 kg.

- Seal skin clothes and boots can be rent with an additional cost per person.
